Vaidio with NVIDIA Jetson Thor: The Next Frontier in Vision AI

Vaidio now has early access to NVIDIA Jetson Thor, a new AI supercomputer built for real-time reasoning at the edge. This integration reflects Vaidio’s strategic initiatives and commitment to delivering advanced Vision AI capabilities.

A New Level of Edge Performance

Built on the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture, Jetson Thor delivers 7.5X more AI compute, 3.1X more CPU performance, and 2X more memory than the previous generation. This leap enables Multi AI Agent workloads that were previously impractical to run in dynamic, real-world environments.

For Vaidio customers, this means the ability to:

  • Run larger, more sophisticated generative AI models directly at the edge with lower latency.
  • Process more concurrent video streams with higher accuracy.
  • Multi-AI agent workflow with multimodal AI models.

“Jetson Thor marks a turning point for Vision AI at the edge,” said Marshall Tyler, CEO of Vaidio. “Its performance gains open the door for new capabilities that help our customers operate safer, smarter, and more efficiently in real time.”

Expanding What’s Possible with Vaidio Edge + Thor

With Jetson Thor, Vaidio can enable advanced applications such as optimizing traffic flow in real time for smart transportation systems, monitoring airport runways and tarmacs with combined LiDAR and video sensors, and improving railway track and crossing safety using on-device AI — all on compact edge devices, without relying on heavy cloud infrastructure.

“From a product and engineering perspective, Thor’s compute density opens the door to entirely new classes of real-time video analytics,” said Patrick Wu, SVP of Product and Engineering at Vaidio.“We can now upgrade our VLM to a larger model — or even run multiple models in parallel — delivering more powerful reasoning and video understanding capabilities while maintaining real-time performance at the edge.”

Optimized for the NVIDIA AI Stack

Vaidio’s platform is optimized for the full NVIDIA AI software stack — including NVIDIA Metropolis for intelligent video analytics and CUDA-accelerated inference for custom and pre-built AI models. Our customers can now expect:

  • Faster inference times for both standard and custom models.
  • Greater scalability for distributed camera networks.
  • Improved energy efficiency in edge deployments.

Looking Ahead

The arrival of NVIDIA Jetson Thor brings a new era for Vision AI agents at the edge. While the Vaidio AI Vision Platform remains the foundation for large-scale, centralized deployments, Vaidio Edge powered by Thor now enables advanced reasoning models, high-speed analytics, and autonomous decision-making right where the action happens.

Additional Note: Vaidio AI Vision Platform vs. Vaidio Edge

  • Vaidio AI Vision Platform is our core product — a scalable, software-driven AI video analytics platform that can run in the cloud, on-premises servers, or hybrid environments. It supports hundreds of AI models for security, safety, and operational intelligence, integrating with leading VMS and NVR systems.
  • Vaidio Edge, on the other hand, is a compact, AI-powered appliance designed to run our analytics directly at the point of video capture — whether that’s in a remote facility, a moving vehicle, or an IoT deployment where low latency and minimal network load are critical.

The same advanced analytics engine powers both, but Vaidio Edge is built for environments where real-time, local decision-making is essential and where sending all video data to a central server isn’t practical.
